On July 14, SINOTRUK released its forecast for the first half of 2022. Affected by the domestic heavy truck industry cliff type decline, the company's sales declined significantly, is expected to report the period to achieve parent net profit compared with the same period last year down 62-68%.
According to the latest data from the China Automobile Association, China's heavy truck sales remain at a historically low level, with the cumulative sales volume of 1,044,600 units in the first six months of 2021. This year's total sales volume of 380,100 units is only 36% of that of the same period last year.
Since this year, SINOTRUK has harvested 3 monthly champions and 2 monthly runners-up. In June, SINOTRUK realized the sales volume of 9105 heavy trucks, and the accumulative sales volume of the first half of the year was 88,700, opening a gap of 12,000 with the second in the industry. Accounted for 23.3% of the market share, 5 percentage points higher than the share of the same period last year.
According to the monthly data of the industry, the heavy truck industry is in the stage of gradual recovery. As the domestic epidemic prevention and control situation continues to improve, the implementation of a package of policies and measures to stabilize the economy, the overall economic recovery will be accelerated, social logistics will be further unimpeded, and the resumption of work and production and the implementation of infrastructure investment projects will be further accelerated, which is expected to promote the heavy truck industry to achieve recovery growth in the second half of the year.
